I bought a smash book a few weeks ago but because of the heat i haven't done much with it yet. i bought one after saying I thought it wasn't for me. so i caved as usual.

What i have to remember is to think outde the lines. I can cover up a page if i want to and use my own embellishments

I was going to ask the same thing.

Smashers?

I've seen/heard of smash books. I 'presume' that's what you're talking about? I've never heard the term 'smasher'.

Don't mind Linda, she lives under a rock and still uses her Coluzzle.

Hey!!!

I LIKE my rock! ...and, how do you know I still use my Coluzzle?

Coluzzle is probably considered 'vintage' now-- which is cool, right??

Basically a book, you can paste and 'smash' various things in to.

I don't see the appeal to these yet. I did something similar when I was a kid, pasting things into a journal type book. Just doesn't seem appealing to me as an adult.

Than k you for answering. I don't "smash". Sounds like something you do at a concert. But it looks interesting.

I'm just jealous of your mad Coluzzle skillz, Linda. I could never get that thing to work right.

I can understand that.

I'm actually surprised mine survived the 'learning curve.' I wanted to throw the thing away, MANY TIMES.

It was a challenge to figure out how to use it. And. I. Did.

I used a smash book for my future daughter-in-law's autograph book when she had her 30th birthday party. i put out various embellies, pens, adhesives and a instax camera and the party goers went wild. She was very pleased with the results.

I like the party/autograph book idea!
I did one for a big trip we took to New Zealand this last winter. I embellished and decorated some pages, added pockets etc. before we went.
I journalled in it while we were there. I jotted down cute stories of my son and his impressions of things. I added brochures of places we visited to the pockets etc.
I left spots to add photos once we got home and I got everything printed.
I'm glad I did it! It will really helped to remember everything when it comes to doing layouts of our trip.
I don't think I will use one in everyday life, though. I do think that they are cool for special occasions/trips etc....
