Where is there a place that sells leaves and stems for trees? Am looking to add some to a few pages but can't find them anywhere. Can you use real ones and do you have to do anything to them to keep them from ruining a lo?

I would STRONGLY anti-recommend using actual plant matter on a layout. You can usually buy fabric tree leaves in the fake flower sections of craft stores, especially in the fall, or you can buy pre-cut leaf shapes or dies to cut them out yourself. You can also buy fabric leaves intended for scrapbooking, but not in a wide variety of shapes.

I agree; using real leaves is tricky and could end very badly!
If you have a dollar store, you can get a bunch of the fake silk leaves for just pennies a piece. Otherwise, they're still really cheap at Walmart, etc.

You could try copying real leaves on your color copier.

HL, M's, A's and all of them sell silk flowers/leaves. I'd try that

I've been cutting some beautiful, embossed leaves with the spellbinder dies. PM me if I can cut some for you.

What they said.

Do NOT use real leaves in your scrapbooks!

Stampin' Up has a new leaves die and stamp set that you can make your own. Also the die looks amazing with embossing folders to give some texture too! I love this new die!

Thank you everyone. I'll try the dollar stores first. The ones I seen look so real that I was wondering about it. I'm glad I asked. This gives me a great start in finding types I'm looking for. Any is better than none. Thanks again!

There are lots of pretty fall leaves in several stores right now,,,I bought some that look like the skelletal outline of a leaf. They are pretty fall colors too..I will post a pic later.

But I agree with everyone here,,DON'T use the real leaves form outdoors.

I use real leaves, pressed and sealed. Never had any problems.

I just got the Tattered leaves Sizzix die ... I'm thinking that if I use it on glassine paper that's been crumpled and colored with alcohol inks, they should look exactly like real leaves

Another thing is that this fall they're coming out with a matching embossing folder for Tattered Leaves that will emboss the veins on the leaves.

Yeah, I'm excited. I've wanted Tattered Leaves for a while, and the embossing folder makes me want the die even more.
