It looks so cool to use the Tim Holtz brick embossing folder and Pumice Stone distress ink.

Here's a link to one I found on Pinterest.

I finally broke down and just bought a BigKick at Michaels today. With 40% off it was better than any online price. I bought an embossing folder and emboss and die snowflake at hobby lobby and played with it tonight. I tried cardstock and aluminum from a soda can. Wow! I had trouble matching up the snowflake for the emboss, I tried embossing first then cutting and vice versa, and neither way matched exactly. Kind of disappointing since they were meant to work together. I still thought the finished result was pretty and will probably glue two of the tin ones together and use them on our tree. Now that I see you can ink them too, I will be trying that tomorrow! No wonder people get hooked on this stuff....

Is the emboss and die snowflake similar to this one? If it's an "embosslit" die my understanding is that you only have to run it through once, and it cuts and embosses in the same pass.

I think I may return it, its pretty, but if the holes don't match the embossing which I can't seem to get them to do, then it doesn't look as nice.
