I used to emboss all the time but haven't for yrs.
It is on white. The person used a blue sponge ink pad that matched the color she edged the white circles with. That matched the blue cardstock on the card. I am not sure it looks good with my ink. I know I can use chalk. I know I can use colored pencils & watercolor pencils but I do not want that look. I kinda like glittery. Couldn't I use clear or white stickles? I also have white glitter.
Isn't there something out new that is pearly?
What do you guys do?

Stampin' Up has several options:

You could use Shimmer Paint. It is very easy to work with and you can even stamp with it. They have three color options: frost, champagne and platinum.

I just did a blog post using it on direct stamping:

You could also use the new Illuminate Shimmer Watermark pad. I have a blog post showing the illuminate pad on black paper which shows it best but it looks great on other colors as well. And looks great on white on white!

Stampin' Up also carry Crystal Effects which is a liquid glittery effect. And they carry Dazzling Details in Silver Sparkle.

The first two are your best bet. One is an ink pad and very easy to use. One is a little pot of paint (you can see it in the fancy favor blog post in one of the pictures). The shimmer paint can be mixed to make your own mister if that interests you. Both can be applied to stamps, both can be sponged on.
HTHs!

Have you seen the Tammy Tutterow Frosty De-Boss technique with Distress Crackle paint? I really want to try it.

Thanks so much guys. I appreciate it. I realized that I like the blue color not white after all. I tried ice blue Stickles last night & it is perfect. I am going to save this thread so I can check the tutorial later.

I know you seemed to have solved your problem but I'll just add that you can heat emboss or paint and then sprinkle glitter on them before it's dry (which is what I did with the snowflakes in the LO below).....
Glad it turned out well!

Great ideas. By the way, I love the layout of feeding the ducks! So nice!
