Most people use Claudine Hellmuth multi medium glaze I do know that for glue, there are several great tutorials on you tube.

I did an advent calender last year....it's not a Tim Holtz box but the basic idea is there....
I just cut my paper to size and used Mod Podge but I painted the frame first in white.
I would use some chipboard to divide the 2 bigger compartments that you have and then paint and decorate......

Good Luck!

Lucky you to find such a deal! Great suggestions so far. I would definitely paint your tray, then go to town adding pp and more. Using a wee little box or chipboard is a great way to divide it off, of even using some fake greenery or something can do the trick. Like a divider bar you use in the checkout lane at the grocery store. Have fun!
