Hi Everyone! I have Rheumatoid Arthritis which is in my shoulders, back hips, hands and knees. Plus Diabetes since childhood, and a form of diabetic neuropathy in my skin which causes my skin to be super sensitive to everything that touches me. There are more health issues unfortunately but those are the ones I am most troubled by at this time. I have been a herbal remedy user for years and many times a good cup of tea can help me when I need it For the moment I have medical insurance which is wonderful, but they do not cover a number of my prescriptions which is not so great. But I am happy my Dr visits are covered for sure!!! Too bad it does not cover herbal remedies either but I know most of the Drs I have seen think herbs are old wives tales, so I only talk to the pharmacist about them when I have a different script to take, so as not to cause problems with what I am taking.
My scrapbooking and card making definitely help get my mind off of my pain sometimes! Plus visiting with friends here and learning new ideas. Without internet I would be a sad case with nobody to talk to but my pets. They don't always answer me when I ask a question you know. I am also heavily into paper crafts which I use on my cards and pages and they are easy to take and work on in a waiting room...I hate sitting there for hours and doing nothing or touching magazines that sick people touched!! I do drink echinacea tea every time I go to the Dr, better safe than sick ya know!? Plus I LOVE the tea it is called Yogi Tea and to me tastes like candy, Yummy!!
I am kinda rambling here so I will hush up now and come back another time. I am saying some prayers for everyone to feel better and have less health problems.

Tj thank you for inviting me. I am home with a sinus infection go back tomorrow. My arthritis kills me in hands and knees and this cool wet weather makes it so worse. I have fibromyalgia that seems under control. The arthritis ia undecided osteo or RA but no markers. I am on RA meds and takes awhile. Ok enough about me

My heaaches are doing better. I have been adding a lot of water to my diet. I didn't wake up with a bad one today though it is easing off slowly

Thank You That is sweet of you!

Hey I just wanted to let others with Arthritis know, if they don't already, that celery can help some of the pain. I read this a few years ago when I was first diagnosed(had it for about 5 years before that but did not know what it was) but anyway there is something in the celery and celery seed that reduces inflammation. If you eat 4 stalks a day that is all that is needed. Most times it works for me to some extent, not totally all the time tho. But every little bit helps with pain. When I am out of celery (I buy it on sale and get like 4 packages at a time when I have the $) but I take 1/4 teaspoon of celery seed when needed. That helps too! I was so overjoyed it helped because at times my shoulders hurt so bad I was in tears so much of the time. I do love celery because it is a 'free' food on my diabetic diet, I like the taste too But try it if you like! I just eat it plain but some people eat it with peanut butter or dressing. I am out right now which is sad I am wishing for Santa to bring me celery

Great to hear Holly.

My arthritis is manageable with the tram-adol(they kept blipping it out when I spelled it right...lol) and naproxen, and the gabapentin 300x4 a day. Its the discs in the back that have the sciatica going into overdrive.

I worked a lunch shift and a closing shift last night and oh my goodness I was in loads of pain. No amount of meds would help. I tried stretching throughout the shift, adding more over the counter pain meds and it just didn't work. I hope tonight is better and that I don't close. Its been nice that I made some money but it not worth all the pain I am in.

Hello Girls,

I am Kim, I have Rheumatoid Arthritis in both knees, Fibromyalgia and Lupus 3 of the worst things to have at one time. I am constantly swollen or not able to move well. One side affect I do love is I can detect rain better then the weatherman lol nice to meet you all.

Nice to meet you to. I am so sorry to hear this. I will be praying for you

Thanks for the warm welcome, spent the last day and a half in bed had a huge party saturday for the shelter and I think I over did it. Got food poisoning and spent Sat nite and all day Sunday in bed plus with my body deciding that being swollen was much better then doing any house work I stayed in bed. I wish for once my body would listen to me and be swollen when I don't have a million and 5 things to do, house needs to be cleaned gifts need to be wrapped want to get a tree but don;t think that will happen.

Babigirl how was the move going?

How is everyone else as well?

I finally was able to get the spine specialist place to send me the email, so I could feel out their information packet. I filled out all my medical history and stuff. Checked it yesterday and its Awaiting CC Facilitation, thinking their reviewing it and getting all my previous xrays and information from doctors that have treated me. I just have to be patient, but it sucks to wait and be in pain. Staying doped up on meds...lol.
