I have this velvet-ish paper and I'm not sure if I can cut it with my cricut. I'm wanting to do a pretty detailed cut, but I don't have a test sheet I can use to practice with. Has anyone ever cut anything like this? Do I need to slow down the speed or max it? I've found that when I would think it would be better to slow it down, it actually tends to tear the paper more sometimes.

Thanks!

I had black velvet paper which was like paper but had the feel of velvet. I did a lot on my Cricut with it.

All of the black in this is velvet paper that I cut with my Cricut.

Yay! Thanks Henri! Did you change the speed or pressure at all? Or did it just cut like regular cardstock? Mine is also paper that feels like velvet... or like a heavily flocked paper.

Have you seen the cricut cutting guide from AboveRubiesStudio? I am sure she will have something in there. And my guess is that you will have to use a brand new blade, most likely deep blade, along with a slow cutting speed and moderate pressure..... And probably a pretty sticky mat.
