hi guys.
i'm currently working on a shabby chic mini album... my first in this style... and i'm in looooove with it lol. the problem i am having is that i am trying to do a different style page each page (hope that makes sense) with lots of different techniques through out the album.
ok so i've made handmade paper roses, daisies, ribbbon flowers with beads/pearls, a picket fence out of cardboard (handmade not a die) heaps of "buttons" with glossy accent cover, a cardboard cotton reel, fussy cut and blinged up butterflies, and a butterfly turn wheel that turns when you rotate the hidden wheel thingymabob lol... what else can i make as embellies?? i've searched youtube and seems that everyones just making flowers and butterflies... they are pretty but i want something different.... any idea's??
oh and i also made bows and a little fan.

ps. i have also made an expanding file type pocket, heaps of other style pockets and fold out pages showing hidden pages. last count there is room for about 15 tags (think i may have got carried away with pockets lol)

I said piecing, but there IS piercing too.
Cutting out each element of a design.
Piercing is poking holes in pages. You can create designs or sew through the holes.
Here's a premade embellishment, but you can create your own.

This link has a list of ways to add interest to a page. It's my go-to list whenever I want to add "something" but I don't know what. There are several things on here that you have already mentioned and lots that might not fit what you need, but I think there are still lots of ideas here that you can use.

lol i flattened two bottle caps with my bigshot and nearly cried when they marked my cutting mats....i know that cutting does that... but they sort of felt "used" and not "pristine" anymore lol.

My gallery is nearly all items I have made for swaps, so all handmade "embellies". Yes, most are mini cards, tags, or journal boxes rather then stand alone embellishments but I've linked a bunch of ideas you might be able to adapt, although since I don't do much shabby chic I'm not sure how some of these ideas would work in that style.
OK, this is a popsicle stick embellie although since its totally covered it ends up being little more then "inchie" deco squares arranged side by side.

Mini flags (you can make your own with a toothpick and any paper):

And I don't know if you can see it well here but I like to use playing cards (the bunny) and then cut out part of the image and pop dot it (his ears cheeks and hands) - its called paper tole:

I like to cut out pieces of the paper and cover them with glossy accents and make embellishments that way
