I know I saw a thread a long time ago about making your own mists. Was it inks or acrylic paint that was used with water?

Does anyone have any tips?

thanks anyway ... i found the answer on you tube.

1/4 part acryllic paint (shiny is better) and 3/4 parts rubbing alcohol (dries quicker and doesn't distort paper as bad) but you can also use water

I used pearlescent and metallic acrylic paints mixed with water. I read that the alcohol creates dangerous fumes when sprayed.....the water does distort the page though.

The colors are beautiful! They look just as good as store bought. The biggest thing isbgetting bottles that have good sprayers.

I use watercolor, not acrylic-- I will have to try them!
