The instructions for Armour Etch Cream say it will NOT work on Pyrex or plastics.

Nope, and if you've noticed, some glass etches better than others. THe more break resistant the glass, the more plastic that is in it.

I also read that it won't etch acrylic. But it does work on Pyrex casserole dishes. I use these for wedding gifts all the time. Put their new last name on the dish. Perfect gift!

I got the set with like 2 different sizes of dishes and put did them for my son last Christmas. Weird boy gift, but he had no dishes to cook in and that's what he asked for. Now when he takes something to work, he knows he will get his dish back.
