I only have the baby Cricut and I only bought 2 cartridges. I do have a lot more but my daughter bought them and has them loaded on her gypsy so I can't load them into the CCR. That's one of the reasons I finally went with the Cameo.
ENJOY!!!! It is so much fun. There is so much that machine can do. I have downloaded about at least 100 fonts (free) and have learned techniques for being able to cut clip art found online. There are so many youtube and blog videos out there for different techniques.
Have fun with your new machine. My cricut is so jealous.
Have fun and enjoy your new machine. I like mines I download images off of google images most of the time. Use the print and cut to cut them out. Sometimes I just cut the shape out and use it as a silhouette piece.
Congratulations! You will love it!
I use mine all the time and am constantly amazed by what it can do!
I highly recommend the Kerri Bradford classes (google Kerri Bradford Studio)....I have taken 3 of them and learned a lot....
Just ordered one last night - Amazon had the starter bundle as a Deal of the Day yesterday for $195, the lowest price they've ever had for it. So I've spent today browsing the shop, installing Silhouette Studio, and learning to play. Love that I won't have to be connected to the internet to use the program or to use the images I've downloaded.
I'd been wavering about a Cricut Expression around Black Friday, and decided against it because I've already got the small Cricut, but with the record low price and the fact that it'll do completely different things with completely different images, I jumped at the Cameo (even though I'd pretty much never even thought about it before I saw the deal late last night).
I have had fun learning and watching videos. I have already spent my $10 gift card! I did two cuts just to see if I could follow directions and it was perfect. I have designed some things and it is easy to do although I didn't save them because I haven't figured that out yet. I LOVE it!
And Kiyawinn- I will give that sight a try. Thanks for the info.
