If you are thinking of getting into Copics, send me a PM, I may have a more affordable option for you to try. Then if you love the effect you can advance to Copics.

I never thought I would like "coloring". I started taking a Copic class once a month at my LSS and now I own about 200! Before you start buying them, watch some You Tube videos. There is a certain way to purchase them (has to do with the number and letter sequence).
I also buy digital stamps. They are much less expensive than regular stamps and so there are LOTS more things to color!

You might try a set of the Chromatix alcohol markers and see if you like the process before spring for the Copics! It's a much cheaper alternative!

I LOVE my Copics, love colouring, love the effects you can get. They are costly though.

I have been interested in Copics as well, but $5-8 for a pen (depending on where you buy) is a tab bit costly. Now my LSS offers a class for $10 I think and you get a free pen out of the deal. I guess it's worth a try.

I have one set of Tonbow markers called grunge. I have a lot of stamps but have not intent of coloring them with markers, at least not yet.

Another option is to try the Kaisercraft Fusion markers. They too are alcohol markers (for blending, shading and coloring on many different surfaces), but since they are not refillable like Copics they are offered at a lower price.

How do Tim Holtz distress markers compare to copics? They look like they are just as vibrant.
