I made this as a booth sample for Winter CHA to sit on the make n take table in the Donna Salazar Designs section of the GCD Studios booth. I just sold all the pennants on etsy but thought I would post the idea here. You can put these in painted terra cotta pots like I did or a vase or other vessel. Stick them in Oasis or styrofoam so they stand up and then surround them with moss. buttons, loose Prima flowers, empty plastic easter eggs...whatever would look cute!!
I painted the bottom of each terra cotta pot white. Then I tied denim fabric strips around the pots -- this is to tie in with Donna's denim theme but you can use ribbon, tulle, or lace.
Then I shoved Oasis into the post and covered them with moss. In one pot we had altered pens that people would take so I put the oasis in a bag in that pot, stick it in the bottom, and then filled the top of the pot with buttons so the pens had something to stand up in. Then I stuck all of the pennants and rosettes and lollipop flowers in.
I then sprayed the whole thing with Smooch Spritz in Vanilla Shimmer to give it a shine. The "sticks" are dowels from the hardware store (you can also get them in the kids crafts section at M's and J's) and bamboo skewers that my husband painted white with plain acrylic paint. Hope this inspires you to create a fun center piece or decor item for your home this spring!!! You can totally make this with scraps too!
