What an interesting story and mystery and what a gorgeous layout. Love your cutwork and the pp you chose to cut up. Gorgeous colors and design and what a lovely old photo.
Gorgeous LO! Love the colors with your old pic! I also love the first class stamp and clock, the pearls that match the color of the flowers you cut out and the sea gulls, that was a nice touch. Great job!
What an intriguing story! This page is gorgeous Robin and I may not be able to decipher to mysteries of the past, but I can predict a lift in the future! Love it!
Great background story on the pic. I love the fact that the colors used are bright enough to grab your attention yet compliment the vintage pic so well.
Those papers are the perfect vintage compliment to the photo! Love the clock detail and the scrolls under the flowers which are perfect period accents as well! I hope you have that story in a hidden journaling note as a skeleton for future generations to dig up!
This is for Megs "cut it out" challenge over at Swirlydoos. I cut out the flowers from the Graphic 45 papers we got at camp in April. I also used Mandy's (Craftysprinkles) sketch, I did have to reverse it, tho, because the pic had some deterioration on the side and I couldn't fix it! THANKS MANDY!!!!!
This is my great, great Aunt Ollie. Every time somebody in my family talks about her, they always refer to her as "the Senators wife", so that's why I chose this title. She was married to the senator of Arizona, way back in the early 1920's. She died mysteriously shortly after this picture was taken. No one knows how she died (no CSI or Forenzic Files back then!!) But it seems that the poor grieving Senator's popularity grew with her passing. The family swears that he had something to do with her untimely demise.....
