Description: Hubby's away on business again. After doing some holiday decorating around
the house, I immersed myself in this project. Oh golly - did I have fun
making this! I cherish these photos of Courtney. They capture so much of
her personality.
I used a Prima Paintable. First, I masked off sections of detail with a
liquid frisket (masking fluid). Then I applied Distress Inks from a craft
sheet with lots of water - very randomly. After I was satisfied with the
background, I removed the frisket and colored the details with Copic
markers. Finally, I sprayed the piece with a sparkley mist of Distress
Inks, Vintage Photo with Gold Perfect Pearls mixed into the mini mister.
It's very sparkley in person!
Next I cut white adhesive-backed felt with my Spellbinder's Wizard, with two
passes and my Flower Creations die. These I colored similarly, using the
craft sheet and Distress Inks with lots of water. I sprayed them with the
sparkley stuff too.
Then I used the Wizard to cut silver embossing foil wings using the ATC die.
I colored these with Alcohol Inks, and cut the photo to insert them behind
her arms.
I also colored some Heidi Swapp ghost flowers with Alcohol Inks, in Wild
Plum, Butterscotch and Silver.
I used some Prima 'Say it in Crystals' flourishes in light blue in different
spots to add a magical touch.
I used letter / word stickers from Heidi Grace to spell her name and my
bulleted words in the lower right.
I used Queen & Company brads as the 'bullet points'
I love the Sharpie white marker.
All of this is over a topiary green cardstock, layered with a 12x12 overlay
from Hambly, the 3/4" graph in Orange.
I framed my favorite shot with a Hambly Urban Chic overlays frame in White.
The journaling spot is a Hambly overlay Journaling Spot in Orange.
Thanks for looking!
