His name is Black Boy (Yep, that’s what they told us). We were staying at Whitfield Hall overnight, and
it was love at first sight. Well at least for us humans anyway. Such a loving and devoted dog – so friendly
and obedient. Black Boy curled up on the couch and watched us play cards by the light of a tilly lamp,
and at dinner time, he sat quietly by the table without begging or making a sound. He could certainly teach Max a few things! He was up and ready @ 2 a.m. to start the hike with us. When Richard decided to call it quits and wait for us at Portland Gap while we continued up the
mountain to the peak, Black Boy refused to leave him and stayed by his side the entire time until we came back.
Thank you, Black Boy.
