We donned our life jackets and jumped off into the river. Everyone started drifting into the center of the river. It was a real pleasant experience until Amy, our tiny guide started FREAKING OUT. She started SCREAMING "swim back, swim back. The current is so strong you will miss the last dock." And she was not kidding! It took all of our strength to swim back to be able to grab that last ladder.
As I was in the water, I don't have an actual photo of Amy's melt down. So I hope this image works.
The challenge of digital scrapbooking for me is to not overdo the special effects. I am still on the fence about the photo merge on the upper right. It's a confusing transition as I was trying to cover up very distracting elements on the photo on the right. The great thing about digital scrapbooking is I can go back and rework this area.
I accidentally discovered how to trim photos with what looks like a deco scissor effect (lower left photo). I can't wait to experiment with this more.
and finally, I am pulling things away from the edges because elements that are too close to the edge seem to get cut off when printed.
