Description: This is the layout I worked on all week for a challenge at Livejournal for a challenge community called Ready Set Scrap. I doubt I will win because I kinda messed up and based my lay out on a children's book instead of a novel. It does not matter in the least to me though because it inspired me to get off of my butt and scrap the first page to Wednesday's first year scrapbook. I have been doing the pages will nilly, by inspiration not chronologically and finally! the first page, the story of her birth is done! This layout is by far the most involved I have ever taken on. I am not sure if it is my favourite but it is definitely one of my best. It involved so many embellishments. The most apparent is the embroidery. I used three colours and pre poked the holes ahead of time. I actually had to trace out the lines one colour at a time because there were so many holes I was kind of lost. I think it was totally worth the half + day it took though. I also sewed pages with a machine which was a bit of a pain in the butt because I had to do it before I glued the pages together, and well, I kept forgetting that so I ended pulling apart the panels at least once per, maybe more. I painted the chipboard W cut out and crown. The hinges were actually a bit of a disappointment but I think that is my fault for thinking the brads would be enough to keep them stiff. The quote is from Robert Munsch's book 'I Will Love You Forever'.
The panels open up to more photos and a cleaned up version of Wednesday's birth story written to her instead of just about her.
