This is amazing!I love old pictures anyway and with this one capturing the moment so clearly you accented it perfectly by understating everything else. But yet you still added touches that are classic "grandma sue". The lettering, lace, hearts, autumn leaves stamps and that touch of tulle all make it perfect! Great job! What a beautiful way to preserve what has to be painful in a way that they can become a favorite!
Another wonderful page!! I LOVE the way you manage to use "my" favorite color of pink, and you always use the right touches with it!! I'm also very happy that you have those pictures of your parents.........that means more pages you'll be doing.....ya-hoo!!!
Wonderful photo and another beautiful job scrapping! You do such amazing work, Sue! You are a true inspiration! Love the softness and simplicity of this.....to let the photo shine! Beautiful lace ribbon frame around the picture!!!
Sue this is so beautiful!! An heirloom for sure! Love the lace around the photo and the chipboard letters and hearts! Beautiful people, beautiful dress!
Sue, you are blowing me away with these layouts! Your capturing the time, the romance and the Love. Excellent lo. I loved all the layouts of your parents thus far. You are a pro at this stuff! You have a real eye for it!
You make me want to pull out my parents album and start scrapping their wedding...LOL...I have it put aside and have thought about it for awhile but you are definitely and inspiration to do so. TFS!! This page is just wonderful!
It's beautiful!! It's just absolutely beautiful!! The photo is stunning. I love what you did using leftover different letters - excellen idea. And your daughters lace??? What a beautiful use for it!! I lvoe it Sue!!
This is another page for my parents wedding album. I’ve called it “The Kiss”. It’s hard to think of our parents as being romantic, but they were. Though I have no memories of ever seeing my father kiss my mother like this, they must have … for they managed to produce 7 children! LOL. I just think this picture is so beautiful, and they are so young and beautiful too. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The chipboard letters were all left overs of different colors so I covered them with paper and sanded them. The chipboard hearts are handmade from left over paper. Even the computer letters are left overs, I have a whole plastic sleeve with letters to use up now. And even the tulle is left over....you won't believe it, but it's from my daughter's veil that I made when she got married 12 years ago... yikes! I've saved all our wedding/reception decorations until the last kid gets married and that will be later on this year! YEA! Then I'll sell them all! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Brief background. My parents were married in 1951. My mother died in 1967, my father died in 1985. I had never even seen my parents wedding photos until last year. Talk about being dysfunctional! So now - some 50 years later – I will attempt to scrap my parent’s photos. It is with a sense of melancholy that I begin this bittersweet endeavor.
