Messenger used to mess me up too--I got of it rid years ago since I didn't chat much anymore. They have a web-based messenger now too, you could try--it didn't seem to mess my comp up.

Ah, I agree, totally taxing!!! Now that I have a satellite dish for my inter-net service I don't have that problem too often!! Great take!! :)

When I open my yahoo messanger, it freezes my computer upfor long lengths of time and this is very taxing to me to see this little hourglass for such a long time, when I am in a hurry.
