This is a pic of my mother and my two grandmothers at the gift table at my mom's wedding shower.
I wanted to use the kitchen stuff pp for this lo, because it just reminded me of things you would get at a wedding shower in 1960. LOL I wanted to use the Webster's Pages shaped paper because the rain theme always makes me think of wedding/bridal/baby showers. I wanted to use the crossword pp, because crossword puzzles just seem like such a homey/married couple kind of thing. LOL Yep...my husband does think I have a weird way of thinking.
Anywayyy...I trimmed and matted the kitchen pp onto the crossword pp. The shaped wp pp was too large and hid too much of the kitchen pp, so I trimmed it down and adhered it to the lo. I decided to stich around the shaped pp with some golden yellow thread. I matted the pic onto the stamp pp (once again, stamps are a homey type thing IMO), and then I stitched around the pic with the same thread. used my "stamp" deco scissors to trim the stamp mat. I adhered the pic/mat to the lo and I used oversized glitter brads at the corners of the pic and added blue bling to each brad. I cut out some of the designs from the kitchen pp (I had figured out where the shaped pp would be and cut out most of the kitchen pp that would have been hidden by the shaped pp so that I could use that scrap for creating embellies). I inked the edges of each little item and used foam adhesive squares to "pop" the embellies of the page. I made some flowers from fringed paper strips and glittered mini brads and layered some other flowers to create a grouping in one corner with my little kitchen embellies and the flowers. I added a piece of blue sheer ribbon to the flower grouping, because it made me think of wedding gifts. I used alpha stickers fo the title and outlined them with a black pen to make them stand out a little more. I added the heart sticker to the title for the idea of "love" and to fill some of the empty space in the pic. I used some more alpha stickers below the pic for journaling and added a word sticker and another sticker embellie. I used number stickers above the pic to put the year and trimmed the month from some pp and added one to each side of the year, since I don't know the exact date of the shower. There was a "blank" space still on the shaped pp, so I used a ruler and black pen to add journaling lines and used blue souffle pens to add the names.
