So, I am finally learning what to do with slide mounts. Absolutely beautiful!
My favorite part is how you incorporated yet another photo inside the hidden journaling. It is just so neat to be able to study how people design their pages and to be able to share some one elses' memories so vividly. Thank you.
This layout was done for a challenge. A photo from my childhood.
Thanks for looking!

I made the slide mount for a swap. For this layout, I added Making Memories rub-on words to the slide. It says "treasure this".
Quote reads: What we remember from our childhood, we remember forever. -Cynthia Ozick
Journaling is hidden behind photo mat along with a second picture. I've loaded a separate pic of that hidden part of the layout. The photo has been digitally altered to change it to b&w and give it a softer, whispier look. I also sanded a "frame" onto the photo to age it a bit.
JOURNALING: John and I are just about 10 months apart, which pretty much qualifies as “honorary” twins in my opinion. It surely must have felt that way to Mom too, with two of us in diapers and bottles at the same time. I can't even imagine how she coped. The earliest childhood memories I have are from when we were pre-schoolers, I was maybe four or so. The memories are vague and fuzzy, but they pretty much line up with what Mom can re-tell from that time. So I guess the quote on this page is true, that what we remember from childhood we remember always. And what I can't remember, I fortunately have Mom and Dad and other relatives to tell me. Some of those stories from my childhood days are so funny and ridiculous to the point of sounding made up. How did my parents survive having two curious, sneaky, squirmy little rugrats wreaking havoc around every corner? I think we were a bit like Thing 1 and Thing 2 in Dr. Seuss's Cat in the Hat. Hopefully, Mom had one of those fancy mess-cleaning-up machines just like the Cat.
