What a wonderful tribute to your precious Midnight. I lost my Lucky four years ago and I still miss him every single day. He was with me for 12 years and was the best friend I could ever ask for. Thank you for sharing your memories with us. I know this LO will be treasured by your family for years to come. Hugs.
Great job, they are family members aren't they. I did a whole book of my Dakota in the year after he died thinking it would be therapeutic - not sure that it was as I did cry several times in the making but it is something I am glad to have now. Great layout and I love the poem inclusion.
Could you please PM me the poem? What a lovely tribute LO. We lost our siamese Boo-Is in 2006. I still miss her. They touch our lives so deeply! I'm sorry for your loss.
Jamie - I did the same thing for my best boy Trouble after he crossed the bridge. It was HORRIBLE hard, but it was also very healing. I used the Bob Lampert essay, "Where To Bury A Dog." I love your LO. So sorry for your loss. It's never easy to say good-bye to a good dog, but it's almost impossible to say good-bye to a GREAT dog.
This is so beautiful and sad. It's so painful to lose a pet, and the poem here brought me to tears thinking about my collie who passed away last year. {hugs}
Oh what a sweet tribute to Midnight. Losing a family pet is always hard--it's just like losing a member of the family. I'd like the words to this poem...such a tender page....
What a very moving lo. We lost a british black lab when my son was 15 and it was a very hard thing to get thru. I would love a copy of the poem, what a way to remember him by.
They do take a part of our hearts with them when they pass on,don't they? this is such a lovely poem and tribute to Midnight.Black Lab?They are one of the best breeds ever!
I did this lo for the July Scrap Your Pet Challenge. I've been wanting to do this for a while but knew it would be hard -- and it was. This is for our wonderful dog Midnight who we lost several years ago. Amazing how much it still hurts. I cried a good bit while doing this lo. Anyway, the "I Remember" poem I used here is really beautiful. If anyone would like the words, please let me know. The writing on the left are particular memories of our Midnight and I called that "We Remember". TFL!
