What a beautiful, girly page! Love those butterflies - they seem to fly just naturally out of the bundle of flowers at the bottom! Way cute page, and great use of scraps!
What a beautiful page, Pat!!! Blissfully nostalgic and bittersweet as the realities of adulthood hit full force. LOVE how you kept the page light and cheery along with the theme. LOVE the colors and all those gorgeous flowers!!
your words are so touching. My daughter will be 4 this month and it is so bitter sweet isn't it you want them to grow up and be independent but you want to protect them form all the nasty things we know are out there. Thank you so much for sharing your page and your heart.
Such a Beautiful Moment captured forever. Your lo is amazing as always. I'm so sorry she had to see things that I'm sure I can only imagine. There sure is a lot of blood shed in the name of God or whatever they are fighting for. I really think it's just hot over there. Keeps them in a bad mood all the time! Please thank her for all of her service and thank you too for raising such a wonderful Daughter.
Some people really shine in those shades of grey, and I pray she's able to hang onto that delightful light heartedness, in the process sharing it with others. This is a fabulous way to celebrate her beauty!~
My younger daughter - caught in a moment of being her full and beautiful self. She's so photogenic - get her anywhere near a camera and she turns into a real ham.
This photo was taken in September 2010 when she was home for her B.Day, before she left for her first tour of duty in Iraq. I look at this photo, taken before she really had seen the ugly side of the world and the brutality we humans are capable of inflicting on one another, and I just marvel at her innocence.
I know she was just being silly - but this moment, this girl, is gone forever, lost to the reality of adulthood and all its multitude of shades of gray.
I will miss her.
