It's a beach, but not just ANY beach. It's the Italian Riviera at Monterosso.

It wasn't too terribly warm, the day was overcast, and it did eventually rain, but I was not ABOUT to let the opportunity to wade in the Ligurian Sea get past me. The Ligurian Sea is the portion of the Mediterranean that touches the NW part of Italy. So - off came the shoes and socks and into the surf I went. Darling Sister held onto my camera and took an entire series of "Pat In The Surf" photos.

The beach isn't like any American beach I've seen - it's not sand, it's made of tiny, smooth rocks. Lots of them are green, which may be where this part of the ocean gets its color from.

Anyway -- that's all the story there is to tell...
