I love this photo of my two girls. It was taken 20 years ago, but the moment is as fresh as if it was just yesterday. They were playing on the swing in my in-law's back yard, and my FIL snapped the photo and sent it to me after it was developed. I've treasured it ever since.

The skeleton for this layout is from Nuts About Sketches, Sketch #251. I love Shawn's sketches. They're very fluid and open to interpretation and improvisation. I've had this birdcage for a long time. It came from a Swirlydoos kit - at least a year ago, I think maybe longer. The little bird is a remake of the same one I did for the Swirlydoos Ultimate Design Challenge Week 1. One bird, two wings. No modeling paste this time, just shimmer mist.

The papers are BoBunny's Little Miss, hoarded since last summer. The pink dogwood flowers are from my first Swirlydoos kit, back in March 2010, I think is right. The little rose vine was from a different kit, but same great kit club - Swirlydoos. AWESOME kits, those. Jam packed with goodness and pretty things. The big magnolia flower came from a stem at Michaels about a year ago. One of the flowers on the stem was missing so it was marked way down - like a quarter I think.

I have a whole list of challenges that this one is going to be turned into

1. Four Categories Category 4 - I (heart). I used a little heart brad on the birdcage, and I love these two little (now big) girls with all my heart.

2. Girls Girls Girls

3. Hoarders Challenge - the DA birdcage, the dogwood flowers, the Prima vine, the BoBunny paper. All stuff I've been hoarding in my bottomless stash.

4. Monochrome Color 1 - Cupid's Kiss.

5. One Photo

I think that's all of it.

Thanks for stopping by. I love it when you visit!
