Wow- I had to add this to my fav's... you really did this picture justice and captured that vintage feel without loosing focus of the image! Love those colors!
I like the layering, the subdued color, the feeling of home & family the photo evokes...memories flooding back to you. What a precious keepsake to pass on to your son & Cupcake!!! You put love and feeling into the LO, and that is obvious. Love the ribbon too, Maureen. xxx
This is so sweet and perfectly vintage! love what you did with the ribbon! This picture is such a blessing because it brings back all those memories for you! Thank you so much for sharing this with us - I love it!
Beautiful Family, and Extraordiary Layout.....................!
I can see and feel the warmth and the love poured into this layout, and the portrait itself!!
Beautiful choice of colors and layering......!! Stunning!!
This is gorgeous!! I love the picture, the pretty papers and their colours, and as usual the details are wonderful, like the dots you added, the pearls and the stickles (?) on the ribbon. Thanks for sharing your stories with us, they're always a pleasure to read!
What a LOVELY page this is, Maureen! The attachment of the ribbon and the pearls are so pretty, and I love the pp you chose! I know that this family photo must be so precious to you! Congrats on a LO that is SO WELL DONE! ....Hugs....Patty
What a striking page, Maureen! You've captured what must have been a beautiful moment in time so gracefully. I especially love the pearl...pins? Brads? Whatever you affixed the ribbon with. It's so artfully done and just accents the page so perfectly. I love the background you always share on your pages, too. You really have a way!
Oh how I love this, you know how I love keeping the past alive. What a sweet memory. Thanks for sharing it with us. I noticed your paper and embellies. I just stocked up on lots of Christmas pp and embellies myself. Can't wait to start on all the photos that we will be taking this Christmas.
On the far left is my Gramma and on the far right is my Papa (my mom's parents) - other relatives from my Papa's side of the family in the pic too. This was taken in my Gigi & Uncle Carl's great room in their lovely, gracious home on the wonderful Potter Street in Eugene, Oregon. Everybody trying to look more formal and on their best behavior for the festive day....but, I love the little smirkey, sweet smile on my Papa's face.....he was always thinking up some little song or poem that was funny...he'd break into them at random times. Knowing that look....I know he had one ready to go when the photo shoot was done. :-)
Very tall tree cut on my Uncle's property about 30 miles up the McKenzie River outside of Eugene.
I can remember visiting the Potter Street house many times when I was a little girl and also spending good times at their place up river. I always loved the huge area rug that's in this pic....lots of time playing on it....my Aunt had several at their place up river too....I always loved them.
