Description: This was created for the DreamGirls Challenge blog. The challenge is to create a lo about yourself and the twist is to use cardboard somewhere on your lo. The journaling on this is to my children, letting them know some important things I want them to know about me.
Journaling:
What I want you to know about me is that I have been blessed. I have felt God's love for me every day of my life. I know that because He loves me and can not lie, that all things will work together for my good. ALL THINGS. That is huge. That is His promise. It is such a comfort to know that.
I want you to know that not only does God love me, but I love Him. Because I love Him, I want to serve Him with all my might, mind and strength. I know I fall short of this, but I will never give up trying. It affects everything I do and say.
I want you to know that I love YOU. When I see you doing the things that I know will bring you peace and joy my heart swells. It swells with happiness for you and pride that I have the teeniest bit of a role in your life. When I see you struggle or feel sad, it breaks my heart. There have been many tears shed over your welfare. You are a very large part of who I am. I like me better because you are a part of me.
I want you to know that I love your Dad. He is the best man I know. He wants to do what is right. He wants the same for you. He honors his priesthood and is able to bless all our lives. He makes me laugh. He comforts me. He is my true companion.
I want you to know that I believe in being happy. There is a power in happiness. Not all will be happy, but every day you can find joy in something.
I want you to know that I love my life. I love the beauty of the world and draw strength from it. I love being with people and enjoying their uniqueness. I love the joy and enthusiasm of little children.
I want you to know that I feel inadequate. I see all of my short comings. I want to do things better, but sometimes I get lazy and tired and don't make the changes I should. Although I feel inadequate, I also know that I am not inadequate. I will not give up on myself ever. I will keep trying to be the person I want to be.
I want you to know that the worldly things are not that important to me. They may be nice and I may enjoy them, but they are not what brings me happiness.
I want you to know these things, to know me.
