Oh my goodness - I just love how the conversation has been recorded. Your LOs are always beautiful, and I really like this 'different' way of journaling!
i love the soft colors to go with such a sweet lo! the journaling is wonderful and i love how it is with the ultrsound photo. and the little heart over your babies heart is jsut the absolute sweeetest touch!!!! Best of LUCK! :)
Oh AMY! I LOVE the journaling style you used -- the conversation is AWESOME! I love the translation in parenthesis, too, it reminds me of my favorite part of Lemony Snickett -- translating the baby. The design style is wonderful - happy and evoking so much warmth AND playfulness. Thank you for sharing this one!!
What a great idea, and what a sweet layout. A lovely way to help Mace prepare for the new arrival!) I love the heart right where "baby X's" heart is. Your journaling is terriffic. I think it's the scan, but in places I had a very hard time reading the journaling over the ultrasound. You don't look pregnant in the photo, and that's just not fair. It's a fantastic page. Thanks for sharing!
This lo is about a converstaion we had the other night at dinner. I have used this family photo once before, but I muted the colors to blend better with the lo colors. I also sepitoned and muted the ultrasound pic to use as background for the journaling.
Journaling reads: We had a family discussion about you at dinner tonight, and here’s an excerpt from that talk: Mama: I want to make a scrapbook page about our family for the baby, so let’s all take turns answering some questions. First of all, what’s one thing the baby should know about you? Papa, you go first. Papa: I like to read comic books. Mama: Now it’s your turn Mace. Mace: Choo-choos and throw balls. Mama: I like to scrap. What else do you like to do? Papa: Watch “lost.” Mace: Boo’s, Coo’s (translation = Blue’s Clue’s) Mama: I like to watch “24” and “Smallville.” Mama: What do you look forward to doing with the baby? Papa: I can’t wait to hold him and watch him sleeping. Mace: Tack bocks high up (translation = stack blocks high up). Mama: I can’t wait to sing to him and touch his tiny hands. Okay, what’s one last thing you’d like to tell the baby? Papa: I can’t wait for you to get here. Mama: See you soon little guy. Mace: Hatch Baby X (that’s the way he currently pronounces your name).
Products used: Basic Grey pps Motifica and Vagabond (for letters), Bazzil Cs, S.e.i ribbon (granny's Closet) and S.E.I sticker letters, and Heidi Swapp Crazy Life rub-on heart.
I matted and inked the photos and monogram letters. I also layered and inked the coloring of the heart to better blend with the lo colors.
