Hidden Journaling:
God himself said that Sunday is to be a day of rest, so who am I to argue with the man upstairs! When Sunday comes around you had better believe that David and I are going to be maxing out our relaxation. Every once in a while though we take this notion to another level and we have what is simply called a Lazy Sunday. Now only an extreme week of long work hours and non-stop after work activities can warrant a true Lazy Sunday. We have a motto for our day that goes “Do As Little As Possible For As Long As Possible”. The night before a Lazy Sunday we move the furniture back and set up the “Lazy Zone”, which is our inflatable queen size air mattress with adjustable headrest, strategically placed in front of the big screen TV. Then we load the Home Theater system with various movies so we do not have to get up to change them later. The actual Lazy Sunday begins whenever we wake up on Sunday and is spent entirely in our pajamas. Once we enter the Zone we cannot leave except for drink refills and bathroom breaks. We also order in pizza so we never have to leave the house. Sweets has even jumped on the Lazy Sunday bandwagon (though I think she rides that wagon on Wednesdays and Thursdays as well). The Lazy Sunday is perfect for catching up on our together time that has been missed by all the outside world demands. I will warn you now that true Lazy Sundays must only be done during a time of dire need for rest and relaxation because of its possibly side effects. Too much laziness can result in excessive sleeping, a tendency towards pizza box piles, and waking up to an I’m Late For Work Monday!
