Journaling: As soon as i saw this figurine, i knew i wanted to take it home. i've had a few nativity scene sets, but i don't have one now. i really didn't have the room or need for a whole set, so i thought this was a good compromise. Dan was not as taken with it as i was; he thought it was "ethnic," and he's not a big fan of that type of art. Still, it stayed throughout the Christmas season, and every time i looked at it, it brought me peace. Christmas 2008
* i felt the picture demanded a rough, hardy, textured surface, so i included distressed cardboard and fabric. i didn't think i would like this, but the more i see it, the more it grows on me.
