Oh my. This sounds like Karson all the way. We have to watch a couple scenes from the movie every night before bed. He is obsessed with it and anything with the characters on them. He does have those car shoes too. Do those light up? Karson would jump just to watch them light up. He even has a couple shirts with Lightning on it that light up too. You should see him when he wears it all together. He's lit up like a Christmas tree. I know I have Cars paper and stickers and had planned on using them for his b-day lo. But you have inspired me to document something he is so into right now that I may have to use some of my Cars stuff for a similar lo. I love your use of all the stickers and journaling. What a great idea!
I love that you listed the names of the characters. In 50 years when he can't remember, he'll love that you did that part of it! :D Just so cool to take a picture of those shoes. What a fun thing to remember!
This is so cute!! I actually wish that my mom took a picture of my shoes. I remember these pink hightops that I had as a kid and I loved them. This is a great idea to do shoes. Don't you love those car stickers? There so cute!
Your journaling is always what gets me the most in your layouts Susan!!! I love the way you record little bits of your family history in them!!.....and of course the beauty of the page!!! ...another fav!! You rock Susan!!!!
okay so cute! like the names of the cars, like the clock pp and the title of this. Like how you did the journaling with the squares and then outlining them in red. this is great
Oh Susan this is awesome!! I love the bright colors, and the way you did the journaling! boy you should step outside of the box more often! you've done some rock'n lo's lately!!! wtg girl :)
oh, I love those stickers...I never use them either...but they are just to cute to pass up!! I love all your journaling and all your awesome placement!
as soon as I saw this I got so excited. this page is so cute and related totally to my little grandson Cameron. I just bought him these same shoes for Christmas, as he just loves this movie and all the cars that go with it. It's going into my favorites and I'll keep the page to make him. just love it!
I just love this page! The shoes are tooo cute! I hope my son doesn't come up behind me while I'm typing here...lol! Great job on color, journaling placment and stickers...they are all grounded!
True-- those trends change all the time. at 2.5 my older boys were into Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. When I remind them now-- they roll their eyes are me :>) Glad you made a page about it.
Just a quick and silly little layout about my DGS, Allen's favorite shoes at age 2 1/2...I managed to use almost a whole sheet of "cars" stickers!!! It's been a long time since I've used this many stickers!! LOL Once again....I'm trying to do something "Different" Journaling reads:
In time, these shoes will be but a memory. At age 2 ½, you think these shoes are the coolest fashion trend going. When the movie “Cars” came out, you absorbed every detail of the movie. You learned each car’s name, and could tell me what was about to happen in each scene. You were able to do this after only seeing the movie a couple of times. I think you have collected all the cars that were the “stars” of the movie. For months, you carried your “Cars” friends everywhere with you. I remember your mama saying that she really did NOT like “character” shoes and did not plan on buying character shoes for you….and then you saw the “Cars” tennis shoes!!! You had to have them! (So, of course, your mama bought them for you!) You wear them with pride…and with the Velcro straps; you can even put them on by yourself. Yes, in time, these shoes will be but a memory…but this simple pair of shoes was well worth the money…even if your mama didn’t like them!
