Wow!! wonderful photo and what an awesome gift this will make for your friends!! such a pretty paper combination, I'm always amazed by the beautiful l/o's you can make out of a few simple products Susan!!
Really awesome work here! I like that you kept everything simple in order to allow the photo center stage. The journaling blocks are awesome! And all the touches of red make for a great impact. Nice work!
Very pretty page - love the dotted ribbon and all the doodling. My computer must be out of whack - the black part looks brown to me! LOL! Anyway, great page - I know they'll love it!
This is beautiful, Susan. Understated elegance! I love the colors so much...I don't think I would have thought to pair kraft paper with these colors but it looks fantastic.
Love these three colours together, Susan! The photo is stunning; love this clean and classy design! Gorgeous! What a keepsake this is; you friends will love it!
This beautiful little boy belongs to our friends, Tim and Terri. I've made this layout as a gift for them. Tim is a wonderful photographer and took this photo when William was just a few days old. The background paper is kraft cardstock. I cut a 10.5 inch black frame. I doodled a white line on the black border then a black line outside the border. I also added a few random stitches to the black frame. I used two border punches for the bottom borders and then highlighted the edges with a gold leafing pen (as well as the wide gold strip on the black punched border). The journaling strips were done in Word by layering different text blocks with the main background in black so that the writing could be white. The ribbon is black/white sheer ribbon. The red photo corner is something I did with alcohol inks on photo paper, using shades of red and touches of gold. Last but not least, I added a few round brads and a couple of heart brads.
