This layout was created based on my sketch #500. I have added it to my gallery. The photo is my husband's grandmother when she was 17. She is now 97! How wonderful is that?!

Vintage layouts are among my most favorite and the June Swirlydoos kit gave me just the inspiration that I needed. I used lots of fun layering, inking and distressing. I love working with Martha Stewart punches, especially the “around the page” collection. I used beautiful texture to give the layout just the right vintage touch. I painted the glimmer chip watch with blue acrylic paint. Once the paint was dry I applied a thick coating of clear crackle paint. The watch face in the middle is a rub on from Glitz Designs.

The envelope is from Maya Road. I punched small circles across the top to give interest. The flourish to the right of the photo is a sticker from Karen Foster Designs.. I thought I would be able to place the sticker directly to the photo, but due to the layers and patterns, it would not lay flat and it did not stand out. Instead, I placed the sticker on a piece of patterned paper, then cut. Now it is a focal point on the layout.
