Give a Cheer
A few months ago, I purchased some Maja Design papers. they are so beautiful, I was afraid to cut them. I found a double page layout sketch by Kelly Klapstein I thought I would like to try and lo and behold, Rachelle Sigurdson, aka Rachie babe used the sketch with Maja papers. I have been a fan of Rachelle's creative works for a long time and decided to dive in. I have lifted ALL of my details from Rachelle's "Friends" layout.
We visited the Seattle area, staying at the Salish Lodge, of Twin Peaks fame. The Snoqualmie falls are gorgeous. All of the rooms at the lodge have fire places with MANY instructions on opening the flue, but some knuckle heads on our floor disregarded the instructions, so at 3 am, we were evacuated due to heavy smoke. Funny, I was the only one in the lobby with my pj's on, everyone else got dressed:( Of course I grabbed my camera and got a shot of the fire trucks with the Christmas lights.
I don't consider myself very creative, but I can follow a recipe or pattern. Many thanks to the wonderful women like Rachelle and Kelly for sharing their creativity so those of us less talented scrappers can create beautiful layouts.
