I just love bleeding hearts! My mom had a large bush in our yard when I was growing up. They just don't do well here. I think I need to find a shady spot to plant one and try again. Love ya back!
Ohhh so pretty! You must have your warm weather earlier than we get it here, no bleeding hearts for us yet! I'm still enjoying our tulips and daffys :) xo
I love bleeding hearts!! Unfortunately the one I had which covered a spread of about 6 feet; died in the winter of 2011! We had several days of 43 below zero!!
A little inspiration went a long way, Sharon. The first blooms of your plant are lovely; such a wonderful surprise for you this morning too. (My plant sits in morning sun for about 4 hours, then afternoon shade. Surprisingly, I have had to divide it this year because it got so large that it encroached across our walkway to the house.) Hugs
This is a photo of my bleeding heart that came up this spring. I planted a small plant last year and the miracle of spring and Mother's Day is in full swing here - I am so happy that it survived the winter! This one is for Fran aka Quick Silver who posted a photo of her bleeding heart last year right around this time!! I was inspired by her to plant one last year! Thanks so much Fran! And HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to everyone here at scrapbook.com! I love all of my scrappy friends!
