The photo is of my in-laws who were married in 1928. They were the age of my grandparents .. which made them almost like an extra set! I dearly love this photo taken from behind them and looking across the creek. I am very fortunate to have quite a few photos of them actually. My MIL always had a camera in her hand and even had all her photos in album type scrapbooks. Apparently there was someone else with a camera also who got some great snapshots of them.! My hubby teared up when he saw this layout, so that made all my effort worthwhile!
I trimmed my die cut piece to change the inner paper and then shifted it all to the right and towards the bottom. I really liked the WP Love Yourself paper for the words written on there. I tried to preserve the words by Dr. Suess which say "Don't cry because its' over, Smile because it happened." And "Believe in the beauty of your dreams." I also wanted to preserve the wording beneath the photo itself but didn't think to trim it out before I glued down the photo. ... I used my Cricut A Child's Year to cut the photo mat and Gypsy Wanderings to cut my butterflies.
I used a bit of Websters Pages trim at the bottom of the photo and put some yummy Prima flowers (Madrigal and Tea Roses) at the top of the die cut. The bling is Prima as well.
