Made this tag for a dear friend of mine for her Birthday, using my fave Tim Holtz stuff. Used cream cardstock, then squished (my own term obviously) the inks victorian velvet, tumbled glass and vintage photo onto my craft matt (not touching so you don't ruin your ink pads) then misted with water until puddles formed, then squished the cream cardstock into these puddles, moving it around and re-dipping it into the inks until I got the look I wanted. I also inked everything, applied Tim Holtz stamps, some other stamps from my collection, doubled punched and stickled the M.Stewart butterfly punch, added bling, a Stampin Up bird, metal trinkets on top with various ribbons and trims. Can't take any credit here - this technique of misting the inks I couldn't wait to try when I watched the Tim Holtz videos (timholtz.com). I love how his inks run together to get that subtle marbled look.
