1964 family vacation. This was our last stop before going home. Caves are some of my favorite places, I did a research pp in college on them. Who knows maybe it was THIS tour that instilled a delight in caves and their special decorations. This cave is huge and beautiful and is part of a huge system in New Mexico, well worth your visit. If you are fit and can book a wild cave tour then you are in for a big treat, crawling on your belly in the mud, the reward is a pristine cave tha not many have seen. The walk into Carlsbad's natural entrance is dramatic and can be seen in the lower photo on the 2nd page. The map shows the loaction of 20 famous stops on the Carlsbad tour. It is a unique treat to eat lunch in an underground lunchroom. Also my uncle who is wheelchair bound was able to take the elevator down and do a short tour. That was an awesome adventure for him and I am so happy he had that opportunity. I downladed a font called "Head Injury" from font freak for the title. I know it is intended to look like blood dripping but I prefer to see the drops of water that created all of Carlsbad's spelothems.
