I started collecting Victorian Trade Cards. These were handed out for advertising in the 1880-1920 era. The six cards shown are unique in that they depict a comical story. I tried to give the layout a vintage look with distress inks and old fashioned paper. The story line reads : "I hear his footfall. Music. Ha! The Maltese is he. Me rival. Well Sir, what are you going to do about it? For pity sake gentlemen, be calm. Not dead, but weary. Did you see me get the best of him?"
