This brave young man showed us all how canoes were made. Brave, yes, it was SO hot that day in September and yet, here he was with a roaring fire banking coals in his dugout. You can see in the bottom picture the canoe he already built and took a trip in and the one behind it is the one he was working on. I used PaperLoft -Huckleberry Pond Paper. Cut out the canoe, and tree stump on my Cricut using the Great Outdoors cartridge. The sunflowers are Petaloo and the burlap is from my stash. I ran the canoe and log through my Sizzix BigShot using the wood look folder and distressed them both with Tim Holtz Distress inks; Walnut stain and Black Soot.
