As you can see the terrain changes quickly. One thing I'd like to share is something we have been told at numerous sites. See the fencing...well, the soldiers for the most part, did not take it down or damage it. Many died while climbing over it. They'd hand their weapons to the fellow who made it over-if they were alive and then climb over the fence! Thus leaving 2 men unable to shoot or advance-easy pickings for either side. During most battles it was blown apart in places and then the men would all funnel to that spot! Amazing that in war they respected property..... Can you image trying to scale these rocks while cannon and rifle are baring down on you? It amazes me and terrifies me at the same time-brave men all!
