I think this is American Traditions paper. I used it for the main paper and for one of the photo mats. The other mat and the journaling block are Bazzill Cardstock. Some epoxy stickers, 3D Beach embellishments, chipboard and fibers round out the the adornments. The journaling reads:

I love to walk on the beach at sunrise. Our very first morning on St. George Island found me up and walking, enjoying the sights, sounds and smells of this tiny island in the Gulf of Mexico.

I noticed some unusual tracks that hadn’t been washed away by the tide. I followed the tracks up the beach and realized I had found a sea turtle nest that had been laid last night! I was ecstatic!

I rushed back to the house and called the “turtle people”. There is a sea turtle conservation group that puts educational literature in all the beach rentals. There was a phone number to call if you found a nest. Volunteers from the group would meet you and mark the nest so that (hopefully) beachgoers would not disturb the nest.

Matthew, Jessica, Jennifer and I met the volunteer and showed her the nest. She marked it and was very nice about answering the kid’s questions. Left undisturbed, the turtles would hatch in about 55 days. Loggerheads are the most common sea turtle nesting on St. George Island.

Thanks for Looking!
