Give a Cheer
My husband and friends at a fest on post last summer. It's opened up to everyone and really neat to see the two cultures come together. Of course there's the traditional beer tent, brats, pretzels, schnitzel sandwhiches, crepes, doners and other yummy German fest foods. Then many of the posts battalions/companies set up stands selling typical American fair food- hamburgers, hot dogs, cotton candy etc. It was funny to see that most Americans made a beeline for the brats and the Germans headed for the hamburgers.
