With less than three months to go until All Hallows Eve, my mind is already turning to thoughts of all things spooky, festive and fun, so I decided to take this week’s (August 11th) Pages in Time layout sketch and give it a Halloween spin.
At its heart this page is all about the colour black, but I injected shots of cream, orange, white and grey into it, too.
I wanted a fair bit of distressing and an aged look that would invoke thoughts of a ramshackle haunted house, so I tattered my paper, frayed the ends of my lace and ribbon, and used a generous dose of Black Soot Distress Paint on the chipboard pieces and applied directly to the photo itself (for a great peeled look on your photos, apply two thin coats, letting the paint dry between coats).
~ Heartfelt thanks for checking out my page. Any questions about this LO, please don't hesitate to ask (PM me for fastest response). Wishing you a blissfully creative day! <3 Jessica (Scrapbooking Poetess) ~
