First I need to say a huge THANK YOU to WendyGirl for the inspiration for this LO. I simply loved her GARDEN layout. I love everything about it --- the color, the embellishments, the pictures, everything. I was so inspired with it that I had to partially scraplift it.
These pics are of my dad and I in the vegetable garden from 1971. We are picking onions.
I used chipboard alphabet for the word "garden" and painted each letter myself. I then used different foam stamps for the designs on each letter. The leaves were made by using another foam stamp, TH walnut stain ink and a green color pencil. (I love the look they create on Bazille cardstock). The red stamps are actual stamps from my dad. He used to collect them when he was young (two cents!!). The stamped pictures at the bottom of the LO were made with older 12x12 paper (can't remember the designer) and by using stamps loaded with TH walnut stain ink. The little squirrel stamp in the bottom left corner is from my dad's wildlife stamp collection he had as a youngster. I thought it would be appropriate for to use for this garden page. The buttons have brown raffia tied through them. And the Memories charm was bought at Michaels.
Thanks a bunch for looking.
