I truly have been blessed to have made friends with some very wonderful people on this fantastic website and there are a couple gals that have found a special place in my heart. I wanted to give them something to show how much they mean to me and how much I truly appreciate their friendship. The only way I thought to do that was to make a calendar -- mostly of pictures from the upper Midwest. One of these terrific friends use to live here in MN. These images are of the calendar I made for her. She's now living in North Carolina, so I thought I would send her a bit of place she use to call home.
This is March's image. This photo was taken to practice with the new 35 mm camera my husband gave to me as a Christmas present back in 2001. It was one of those images that caught my eye during that spring day. This was taken on the dirt road we live on, and next to the lake displayed as January's image. The Shamrock was made but cutting a pair of painters pants and tracing a wooden heart to make the outline.
The poem reads: "The flowers of late winter and early spring occupy places in our hearts well out of proportion to their size."TFL!!!
