This is my Dh at Tahoe. It was about 45 minutes away from us. This is based on a Scraps of Darkness sketch from December, 2010. It took hrs to stitch but i enjoy that. The sketch made the page pretty easy to figure out.
This was kind of a bittersweet time. We knew we had to leave California and move to Houston. Memories of our home there and the beauty of the state seem to have this magic haze of sweetness and charm around them.
Does using stuff that you have laying around for years untouched make you happy? It does for me. I stamped the bg with 2 stamps. One had geometric shapes all over it with writing that i couldnt read. The other one was a hot air balloon.
