Next to the pink rose and at two corners is lichen from my yard. I bought a bag of moss at Michaels but the chemical they used to process it smelled horrible.
There are mica flakes in the lower left hand corner.
I made this card pretty quickly because i had the chippies already painted ,they were leftover from another project. Not the butterfly wings. I had just been playing one day experienting with different surfaces trying to get something different. I used alcohol ink, stickles, pearlex powder, microbeads, and maybe more stuff.
Something i discovered with the dragonfly and mushroom is that putting green distress ink over dry white paint dries from a beautiful shiny green to a pale green non shiny surface. I didnt realize that,so i fixed it after this photo by using green lumiere paint. You can see where the ink hasnt completely dried its a darker color.
I used my new camera because the old one doesnt work half the time. This new one has about 48 million pixels , whereas the old one doesnt. If you click on this youll see the image is blurry, thats from too many pixels.
