Wow, this is gorgeous! That ruffle around the heart is so pretty! Wish I was brave enough to hand write a quote like that. I hate my handwriting....lol
Scrap your favorite word, phrase, poem, saying, etc.! This may be a common phrase that you, your spouse/partner, your kids, your friends, etc., use over and over. It might just be a poem you love. This can be your title, journaling, whatever! The subject matter and photos are up to you, but you must have your chosen word, phrase, etc., somewhere on the layout. 25 points! TWIST: 10 extra points for doodling somewhere on the layout!
For this lo, I decided not to use any pictures and just place the main focus on one of my fav quotes, since that was the main part of the challenge. I really love this quote and thought I would make it into a large valentine looking page. I think I will also use it for the opening page for my BOM whenever I get an album for all my pages. Since I wanted it to be like a big valentine I started with a big heart to write the quote in. I loved this pp from K&Company from thier ancestry line and tore it for the corners and the also used some pp from that same pack for the paper ruffle around the heart. Ami uses this paper technique all the time and I thought this would be perfect to try it out and I just loved how it turned out. I used some ribbon to line the inside of the heart along the ruffle and added litte pearls. I used many rub-ons n the birds and some of the floral flourishes and then I doodled with my white uni-ball pen around alot of those, so all the white is my doodling. I then made the layered flowers and added those and then added a validated postage stamp that I had save and placed that in the top right corner where the pp looked like a post card. I then inked the edges in the coordinating inks.
